Take the guesswork out of how to make your company stand out from the crowd here’s six simple ideas to branch out with and grow your social media platforms this summer.
Social media can be a daunting thing-how much are you supposed to post? When is the best time, and is it really reaching the right audience? How is this going to help my business? When you’re as busy as you are, you don’t have time to craft a perfectly curated content calendar every week. Take the guesswork out of how to make your company stand out from the crowd here’s six simple ideas to branch out with and grow your social media platforms this summer.
1. Educational Content
Things that may seem simple or common knowledge to you as a forestry or tree care professional probably aren’t. Sharing informative posts about tree care, forestry best practices, and environmental conservation is a great way to grab people’s attention, and position your company as an industry expert and reliable source of information.
2. Before and After Transformations
What is more attention-grabbing for potential customers than seeing for themselves what their property could look like with a little help from you? Share before and after photos of any projects you have worked on (no matter how big or small, as you never know what someone is looking for in your company’s capabilities). Highlight the positive impacts you have made on landscapes, parks, or urban areas. Don’t forget to tag any associated accounts of businesses you have worked for so their followers will be exposed to the awesome work you just completed as well!
3. Customer Testimonials
These work hand in hand with before and after videos and images. Request satisfied customers share a few positive words about their experience with your company. Even if you don’t have a camera to capture video, sharing written reviews on your social media pages and adding in a few images of the completed job will add credibility to your company and encourage others to consider your services.
4. Seasonal Tips
Create content that is relevant to each season and its impact on trees- or how it impacts the services you are providing. If you are a tree care or landscaping company, you can offer advice on how to care for trees in extreme weather, when it’s time to contact your company for after-storm cleanup or fall lead management. This kind of content will position your company as a valuable resource and as the go-to for your audience when searching for advice on what to do in every situation.
5. Behind-the-Scenes
Offering a glimpse into what goes on in your company’s day-to-day activities humanizes you and creates a connection with your audience. People love seeing other people doing cool things. Share photos of your team at work, projects in progress (then don’t forget to show those after photos) and your equipment being used- be sure to tag @Morbark, @Rayco Manufacturing, LLC, @Denis Cimaf, and @Boxer Equipment when using your Morbark brands equipment! Your company and projects may just end up on our social pages as well!
6. Get Involved
Be interactive with your audience! Engage viewers with quizzes or interactive content. Do a giveaway (everyone loves a freebie, no matter how big or how small). Hosts contests for people to share photos of their projects completed by you (have them tag your company as well to generate even more exposure and buzz around your business). Just have fun with it! Reply to comments, messages, and reactions you get on your page. Being an interactive page lets Facebook know you’re real and you’re human, and your page will rise to the top of the algorithm as a result.
Social media can be a great tool to garner more business, reach new audiences, and connect with customers and those in your community. It doesn’t have to be time-consuming or something that you dread. With a little inspiration and consistency, you too can build yourself a platform that keeps your audience engaged and your business top of mind!
