Morbark has been monitoring the current coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and is taking precautionary measures to protect our employees, customers, vendors, and other partners' health.
Our goal is to sustain business operations during these challenging circumstances while keeping our employees and customers' health and safety in mind. Based on substantiated evidence from the World Health Organization, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) in the U.S., and local health departments, we have taken several actions:
- Limiting business travel through at least mid-April. This includes canceling or postponing all international travel and all but essential domestic travel.
- Restricting access to our facilities. We have canceled upcoming in-person training sessions for our dealers; are utilizing phone and video conferencing instead of in-person events for discussions, planning, and presentations; and are working with our suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners to limit interpersonal contact during shipments to and from our facilities while maintaining the parts and equipment deliveries our customers depend on.
- Promoting employee awareness of the recommended best practices to reduce risk, including frequent hand-washing, cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, reducing personal greetings, and social distancing.
We will continue to monitor the situation and update our employees, dealers, customers, and partners with any future developments.
At this time, Morbark and its affiliated brands, Rayco Manufacturing and DENIS CIMAF, manufacturing facilities will remain open during the Stay At Home Orders issued by the Governors of Michigan and Ohio as per the Department of Homeland Security CISA guidelines.
We continue to place our employees' safety and well-being, and the communities we serve as a priority. To this end, we have put in place international and domestic travel restrictions, social distancing practices, remote and flexible work arrangements for those employees not required in factory operations, and enhanced cleaning and sanitation regimens across our facilities, among other efforts.
We will keep you posted on any changes in our business operations and practices. We appreciate everyone's efforts in these difficult times and wish you and your families well.
Our Winn, Michigan Facilities will be closed until Monday, November 16, for precautionary cleaning due to a reported positive COVID case among our employees. We are working with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services and adhering to their recommendations and directives. We continue to do our utmost to ensure that we provide a safe work environment and do not allow anyone in close contact with a known case of COVID to return to work until it is safe to do so. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
