The Morbark 1100 Tub Grinder is a mid-sized grinder that brings price and performance together for the processing and reduction of wood waste. This tub grinder packs an impressive line of features usually only found on larger models, including the Morbark Integrated Control System (MICS) to adjust feed rates of a variety of materials while optimizing fuel efficiency. Other features include a laser-cut, factory-balanced hammermill; dual hydraulic augers that maintain flow during material surges to prevent plugging; and a full breakaway torque limiter to protect the engine and clutch from catastrophic damage.
Quickly remove product from beneath the mill. During material surges, pressure sensors on the auger system automatically slow tub rotation to prevent plugging.
The full breakaway torque limiter system protects the engine and clutch against shock and overload without stalling the engine.

Tub has 9′ (2.74 m) diameter at inside base, 62″ (157.48 cm) deep walls constructed of 3/8″ (9.52 mm) reinforced steel plate, and floor constructed of 1/2″ (1.27 cm) thick wear-resistant steel, supported by 14 roller guides carried on 1-1/2″ (3.81 cm) diameter shafts. Hydraulic full tilt tub for easy access to hammermill, with hydraulically powered variable RPM forward and reverse tub control; MICS (Morbark Integrated Control System) tub controlled with automatic reversing tub, sensor system. Hammermill and Screens
24″ x 52″ (60.96 cm x 132.08 cm) Hammermill system constructed of heavy-duty 16-1/2″ (41.91 cm) diameter laser-cut rotor, (13) 1-3/4″ (4.44 cm) thick 2-piece laser-cut rotor plates to ensure precision and enforce steel strength. The plates are keyed on a 5-7/8″ (14.92 cm) diameter rotor shaft with 3-15/16″ (10 cm) bearings direct driven at engine RPM and (8) 2″ (5.08 cm) hammer retaining rods.
Complete with (24) 2″ (5.08 cm) balanced forged steel hard-surfaced hammers and (24) 2-15/16″ (7.46 cm) replaceable inserts with nuts and bolts.
