Timberwolf produces an average of 100 semi loads of wood products per week, delivering various products to pulp mills, biomass energy, firewood, and wood mat manufacturing. And the only chippers they run are Morbark.
Prepared to do a regular hours-based replacement of an existing chipper, Halley Timber took delivery of a newly redesigned Morbark 40/36 chipper and quickly became proponents of that unit’s capabilities. More importantly, however, they were able to confirm what the company had touted during the sale: the new unit’s drum—called the Advantage 3 high-performance chipping drum—yielded a dramatic reduction in maintenance-related downtime and wear part costs.
Boralex LP operates a half dozen biomass plants in the northeast, which, at peak performance, can generate an impressive 240 megawatts per hour of electricity. It ensures a steady stream of feedstock by drawing upon creative business practices and solid performance from a fleet of Morbark Chippers to recycle better than two million tons of wood residue each year.
